Lamb

Katahdin sheep, originating in Maine, are a hair breed (as opposed to wool breed) of sheep known for their pleasant dispositions and mild-flavored meat.  Our lambs spend their days luxuriating in large, shaded, clover-filled pastures.

How much does it cost?

We charge $10 per pound of hanging weight - this includes all processing and transport fees. Hanging weights are usually 35-55 pounds

How much meat will I get?

Approximately 30 pounds of meat.  

​

How much space do I need for storing my meat?

You will need approximately 1 cubic foot of freezer space per 30 pounds of meat. 

​

What cuts of meat will I receive?

You will be able to choose your cuts prior to processing or purchase whole for cooking on a spit. You may also elect to have sausage made in a variety of seasonings. We'll provide some examples if needed to help you get started.
